Diane and Mark are easy to deal with. A mistake was made and they worked with me to find a good solution. The shelter arrived exactly on time and the installation went smoothly.

I would highly recommend them and their product.

Top Notch Boat shelter......Pacific Rim Shelters made it happen

April 11, 2025

Diane and Mark, to easy folks to deal with, they helped me with my idea of length and width, of my 12 gauge steel shelter. My boat is 17.5 feet with motors 19. So we went with a 23 foot. Mark showed up in a timely manner with a trailer of my build that came into their shop up in Courtney. Now they have a fellow named Nick who is so skilled at putting these together, he has a good sense of humour and very polite. The whole experience was so easy going.

Great service, patient dealings with us when we had to delay the install due to highway closures and concrete delays. Most important to me was the after care Mark and Diane are fantastic they really care and make things right and follow up. A great product for toy storage in the wet coast. Thank you for everything we are very happy.

Fantastic rv shelter

Mark & Diane,

Our rv shelter is up!

Hats off to Pacific Rim Shelters! I am extremely happy with our new rv shelter.

After a ton of research I chose PRS for best value for money spent. You have the absolute best design, superior quality and ease of assembly. Site prep was minimal given the bottom rail design and Leslie was easily able to help me stand up the post/truss assemblies. Getting the frame squared up was a simple process. Mark’s tips were invaluable – Don’t overthink assembly; Buy a quality drill bit; Use a square to square up posts to bottom rails; Do final roof level up by prying up posts with a pry bar; Pre-drill roofing; etc.

Other than standing up the post/truss assemblies, the shelter was easily done by myself.

The one pleasant surprise was finding the roofing had felt on the underside to prevent condensation and dripping. I have never seen that on roofing before. And for the roofing I simply put my camper trailer underneath the frame to use as a floor to stand on. Piece of cake!

Thanks for the work you did to source out these shelters, have them engineered and providing your great service and advice. Also thanks for the tape measure and nice dress-up skirting for the posts.

Five stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shelter Review

The Thetis Island Volunteer Fire Department purchased our Pacific Rim Shelter in late October of 2021 after much research on what was available to us at a reasonable price and with quality manufacturing. Big Box stores had inferior shelters available but reviews showed that there were many problems with DIY construction. The Pacific Rim Shelter fitted our needs for a four-season structure to accommodate snow load, wind shear and easy upkeep that we could use to park fire apparatus underneath.

We were able to order the kit to our height, width and length specifications and pick up the purchased kit in Courtenay, thus saving our volunteer department the shipping cost.

The instructions for building the kit were easily followed, and through a mistake made at the manufacturing facility, when we found we were not supplied with enough bolts for the project, the owner of Pacific Rim Shelters drove down to Thetis Island himself to deliver the missing hardware.

Furthermore, the Beecrofts visited our Fire Hall a year later to view the structure, and gave us some valuable tips on how to increase the safety of the structure in heavy winds.

We have been very happy with this Pacific Rim Shelter since we erected it, and were impressed at how it handled snow and thaws without having to hand-clear the roof. We have since added an outdoor electrical outlet for a block heater or battery charger, and we look forward to many more years of service from this heavy duty shelter.

Even though there were difficulties, my experience with Pacific Rim trailers was a pleasant one. The order was delayed for a couple of months, but that couldn’t be helped. I arranged my own delivery, as I am 300 kms away. When there was a mix up in the order, they drove 300 Kms to get here and fix it. Plus, I received a lot of tips on construction. I love my shelter. It is unique up here and is it ever tough. Diane and Mark are easy to like.
