The following is a summary of the portable standard Model
The materials used for construction include:
• Main support frames from 2 ½” square, 14 ga galvanized tubing
• Roof and wall metal cladding made from 26 ga corrugated sheets
• Purlins from 14 ga x 5” wide hat track sections
• Knee braces from 16 ga channel, 2’ and 3’ lengths
• Diagonal corner bottom braces from 16 ga channel
• Truss brace: 2 ½” square, 14 ga galvanized tubing for 24’ and 30’ wide shelters
• Foundation anchors from 3’ long reinforcing steel rods or cement anchors.
Pacific Rim Shelters Standard Model use a maximum spacing of 5’ on center for support frames, with single legs and trusses used for 10’, 12’, 14’, 16’, 18’, 20’, 22’ and 24′ wide units. For 26′, 28′, and 30′ wide units, double roof trusses complete with king pin supports (upgraded bracing) are provided.
Double legs are used for units with 13’ + 14’ high sides. 15′ high structures are the tallest units supplied, and require Engineered Plans.
Options include part or full side walls & part or full end walls. Fully Enclosed units available with frame outs for windows, garage & walk-in doors.
The shelter framework sits on the ground and is anchored with 3’ long reinforcing steel rods embedded in the ground. Threaded rod anchors are used when anchoring to concrete or asphalt surfaces.
